The Bill (Reg, No.1046) restricts advertising and sale of alcoholic beverages and tobacco goods due to the requirements of the World Health Organization's Framework Convention on Tobacco Control ratified by The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. The Bill also unifies regulations of several legislative acts of Ukraine regarding the said issues (the Laws "On State Regulation of Manufacture and Distribution of Ethyl, Cognac and Fruit Alcohol and Tobacco Goods", "On Advertising", "On Prevention of Tobacco Goods Consumption and their Harmful Influence for Population´s Health").
However, the Committee recommends that the Parliament rejects the said Bill, since a number of its statements are already regulated by effective legislation.
